Online Payment Provider GCash Faces Installation Issue
GCASH – The popular mobile payment service provider in the Philippines issued an advisory for users who uninstalled the app.
Countless Filipinos across the nation have accounts to GCash, a popular online payment provider which is owned by Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc. It is operated by G-Xchange, Inc. which is a subsidiary of the Globe Fintech Innovations.
The online payment-provider claims that it has more than 81 million active users. It was in October 2004 when it started operating in the Philippines and its mobile application was launched in 2012.
Through the years, the online payment provider continued to upgrade its offers. There is now the GCash Visa Debit Card that users can get for an easier withdrawal of their funds in the online app as well as GCash Cash Loan that eligible users may apply for to obtain financial solutions.
Users can simply download the app of GCash through the Google PlayStore for Android users and the App Store for Apple users to access the services of the Ayala-led fintech. However, currently, there is an issue on the installation of the app for those who uninstalled it.
GCash recently released a statement confirming the installation issue but assuring the users that there is nothing to worry about. According to the Ayala-led fintech, those who uninstalled the app may have trouble re-installing it.
Meanwhile, according to the Ayala-led fintech, users who want to download the app again may do so by 12 p.m. of July 12, 2024. Previously, it is faced with data breach allegations but the finance company assured the users that the accounts of the clients are safe.
