DOLE – The Department of Labor and Employment will hold an anniversary job fair that will offer 8,000 work opportunities to Filipinos.

For more than a year now since the pandemic started, both public and private agencies cannot freely hold job fairs as gatherings are prohibited. Most work opportunities are only offered online but not everyone has an access to them and many people are also not at ease in applying for a job without a personal interview.

Amid the crisis in the Philippines, a lot of people lost their jobs and their source of income. Several businesses and firms were not able to cope with the demands of the pandemic which include long lockdowns. Truth be told that many firms rely on daily profits to be able to continue.

The pandemic is a huge factor in the unemployment rate in the Philippines. Many people now are in search of job opportunities to cope with the family’s needs and to rise from the debts incurred amid the crisis.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Department of Labor and Employment will be holding a job fair next week and it will be a limited face-to-face application. The said DOLE job fair which is in line with the anniversary of the government agency is set to offer 8,000 work opportunities.

The job fair will offer both online and limited face-to-face applications. Based on the report, applicants from the National Capital Region (NCR) may register at jobquest.ph if they want to have a face-to-face application. You will be given an appointment schedule as the crowd is still under management considering the pandemic.

The DOLE job fair schedule in the different regions vary thus it is important to contact your DOLE regional office for the specific dates. Reportedly, most of the work opportunities are job vacancies in the IT and BPO fields. Meanwhile, there will also be offers for the agriculture, sales, and health sectors.
