Guide on DSWD Food Cash Aid 2024 Offer Features
DSWD Food Cash Aid is ready to provide allowance for food to qualified individuals as per the social welfare department assessment.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development, more popularly called DSWD, has set several cash assistance offers to make sure that the Filipino people always have something to turn to. These offers are most beneficial in times of financial insufficiency.
Under the AICS or the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program of the social welfare department, one of the offers is the DSWD Food Cash Aid. It is open for individuals who are qualified based on the following coverage of the food cash assistance offer:
- the grantee(s) of the DSWD Transportation Cash Assistance on his/her/their return to their home province
- individuals who are caring for their sick relatives in the hospital
- the grantee(s) of the transportation cash aid on his/her/their return to their home province or attendance to court hearings
- stranded individuals due to emergency situations
- rescued individuals
According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development, under the DSWD Food Cash Aid, the assistance may either be in the form of food packs or a voucher with a monetary value. With regards to the amount set by the social welfare department, at least Php 80 per meal is set for a qualified recipient.
The social welfare department implements a limit of an eight-day coverage per recipient of the DSWD food assistance offer. To apply for the offer, here are the documents required by the social welfare department:
- valid ID
- Barangay Certificate or Residency / Certificate of Indigency / Certificate that the client is in need of assistance
- Authorization Letter, if applicable
Aside from the food assistance offer, under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation, the social welfare department also offers a Medical Cash Aid.
