The Government Service Insurance System is one of the state entities that is operating in the Philippines for decades now. The employees of the government are mandated to maintain an active membership to the GSIS. A membership to the state entity widens the resources of the members.
The Government Service Insurance System offers several GSIS loans that its members may apply for. One of the offers is the GSIS Emergency Loan, a calamity loan offer.
The GSIS Emergency Loan is open member-applicant who is a bona fide resident or employee of the government office within the declared calamity area; in active service and not on leave of absence without pay; has no arrearages in the payment of mandatory social insurance contributions; and has no loan that has been declared in default.
