PAG-IBIG FUND – The government agency spoke on the financed homes for low-income earners from January to April 2022.

There are several government agencies in the Philippines that offer services for the benefit of their members. One of these government agencies is Pag-IBIG Fund which stands for Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya at Gobyerno.

Pag-IBIG is most popular for its home loan offers but it also has several other offers and benefits for its members. It even has a multi-purpose loan offer that is appealing to members because of its flexibility in the purposes it can serve.

Members of the government agency contribute a certain amount as savings monthly. Accumulated savings may enable a member to qualify for a loan application or in availing of certain services offered by the government agency.

With regards to the home loan offers of Pag-IBIG Fund, they don’t only attend to average earners but as well as members who are on minimum wage and as well as low-income earners. In fact, the government agency has financed the homes of several low-income earners this first quarter of 2022.

In a recent bulletin, Pag-IBIG Fund announced that 5,411 homes for low-income earners was financed by the government agency between January to April 2022. It is equivalent to 18% of the 29,310 units financed by the government agency in the first quarter of the year.

According to Secretary Eduardo del Rosario, the chairperson of the 11-member Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees and Secretary of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), socialized housing is really intended for low-income earners. He stressed that the government agency really makes sure that all its members have access to opportunities to own a residential property.

The socialized housing offers is for Pag-IBIG members who earn not more than Php 15,000.00 monthly for those who are living in the National Capital Region (NCR) and not more than Php 12,000.00 per month for those who are outside NCR.
