The authorities even have to implement a number coding system and daily coding hours to ease the congestion of vehicles on the roads. The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) implements the Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program.

Also called the UVVRP, the Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program is a number coding system that does not allows certain private cars from being on the major roads in Metro Manila during the coding hours. The authorities crafted a basis for private vehicle owners.

The last digit of the license plates of private vehicles determine when they are not allowed on the major roads in Metro Manila. You can refer to this table below:
