List of TIN Requirements in Applying for ID Card
TIN REQUIREMENTS FOR ID – Here are the documents needed in getting a Taxpayer Identification Number ID card.
In the Philippines and even in other countries, no loan applications, benefit claims, car or residential property purchases, and passport applications can take place without the presentation of a valid ID and some other important documents. Most of these are government-issued.
There is a long list of valid ID in the Philippines and one of the documents that are often part of the requirements in performing certain transactions is the Taxpayer Identification Number ID card. It is more popularly called the TIN ID.
The Taxpayer Identification Number and the TIN ID are both issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the tax-collecting agency of the Philippine government. It certifies that the person has paid the taxes. The information on the ID includes the following details:
- complete name of the person
- birthday
- address
- photo
- signature
- BIR logo
To get the Taxpayer Identification Number, there are TIN requirements that you need to prepare for application.
- Duly-accomplished BIR registration Form (either 1902 or 1904)
- one of your valid IDs
- PSA-issued birth certificate – (There are also steps on how to get a PSA Birth Certificate)
- Community Tax Certificate
- 1×1 picture
Also one of the TIN requirements for married individuals who want to apply for the ID card is the marriage contract. This ID was issued in a yellow-orange cardboard before but now it is in a green cardboard.
Upon the issuance, it is best to sign your ID, put a photo on it, and have it laminated. As mentioned, the material of the BIR-issued ID is made of a thin cardboard thus laminating it prevents it from getting wet, scratched, or teared.
If you are an employed individual, submit your TIN number to your employer or the company you are working for. There are corresponding taxes based on your salary.
