The good news now is that not only Filipinos in the Philippines can do a cash-in. Even Pinoys abroad can now make a cash-in through several U.S. banks. The company behind the online wallet platform announced that cash-ins and remittances are now allowed from over 12,000 U.S. banks following its partnership with Meridian, an instant payment technology firm based in New York.

Among the banks that accept GCash cash-ins are the Wells Fargo, Chase, and the Bank of America. In case an amount was deposited through a US bank account, the Dollars will be automatically converted to Pesos. Every transaction comes with a $1 fee for any cash-in amount.
