Update on UnionBank Banking Schedule during Holy Week 2022
UNIONBANK – The bank released an advisory containing some reminders regarding the banking operation during Holy Week 2022.
Banks are among the entities that continue their services to their clients even during holidays. Although there are dates when bank branches are closed, their services can still be availed through automated teller machines (ATMs) and online like through mobile apps.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic that required banks to operate under adjusted banking hours and on a skeletal workforce, several banking institutions have boosted their online offers so their clients don’t anymore need to visit their branches.
One of the banks that offer online services is UnionBank. It has also partnered with several remittance centers for its Send Money transactions.
For this Holy Week 2022, UnionBank issued an advisory containing a reminder to its clients to make their banking activities ahead of time and send online fund transfers through InstaPay for instant crediting. The bank also stated details about the transmission of transactions using PESONet:
“For those using PESONet, transactions before 9:00 AM of the current business day and 3:00 PM of the previous day are transmitted on the same banking day. However, transactions after the 3:00 PM cut-off, weekends or holidays are transmitted on the next banking day.“
UnionBank, in its advisory, also posted about the schedule of its partner remittance centers for Send Money service from April 14 to April 16, 2022. According to the bank, the following remittance center are closed during the said dates:
- Palawan Express
- Cebuana Lhuillier
- LBC
With regards to PeraHub, it is closed on April 14 and April 15 and will be on shortened banking hours on April 16, 2022. More updates may be posted soon.
