Wherever you are, you cannot simply open a store and sell your products or services right away without obtaing a Business Permit. The documents of your business must be checked and approved by the different government offices in the country including the Bureau of Fire Protection which issues the Fire Safety Certificate.
Aside from the business registration requirements that you need to prepare to have your business registered in the different government offices and the Business Permit requirements that you must gather and submit as well, there are Business Permit application fees that you must be aware of.
In processing for a permit to operate a business in the country, there are different certificates that you need to obtain as well as the permit from different offices. Thus, it may come along with the different Business Permit application fees as well.
However, the Business Permit application fees may really differ depending on the Local Government Unit (LGU) where your business is located. Here is an estimate of the charges in processing:
- Sanitary fee: ₱150
- Business permit processing fee: ₱500+
- Electrical inspection fee: ₱20
- Mayor’s permit fee: ₱100+
- Fire: ₱300+
- Building inspection fee: ₱200+
- Signboard: ₱50+
- Plumbing: ₱15
- Sticker: ₱50
Other LGUs may have additional requirements and there may be additional fees needed in processing for the additional documents required for Business Permit application. Make sure to be financially-prepared so you can finish the processing the soonest time possible as it will be a long and tedious process that you really have to go through.
