Billionaire Jeff Bezos Drops CEO Post in Amazon
BILLIONAIRE JEFF BEZOS – One of the richest people in the world, business tycoon Jeff Bezos, is stepping down as the CEO of Amazon.
There are several people who made names in the field of business. Some of them got stories of bringing a simple company to international success bringing it billions which led the way to expansion. One of these companies is Amazon which was founded by Jeff Bezos.
Amazon is a multinational technology firm. It is one of the five (5) biggest firms in the information technology industry in the United States. It focuses on cloud computing, e-commerce, and digital streaming.
The success of Amazon also brought Jeff Bezos billions. His net worth is close to $200 billion making him one of the richest persons in the world. He has several other companies like the Blue Origin which is an aerospace manufacturer that is set to offer spaceflight services.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, billionaire Jeff Bezos is stepping down as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amazon to focus on other opportunities like growing the Blue Origin. In fact, he is set to take a spaceflight this month aboard one of blue origin’s New Shepard.
According to the report, Bezos will be giving the key role in the company he founded 27 years ago to Andy Jassy. Meanwhile, he remains as the company’s executive chairman. Many praise the 57-year-old business magnate for being a “transformational leader” that brought a lot of convenience to the public.
According to Brookings Institution’s Center for Technology Innovation’s Darrell West, Bezos was a pioneer who introduced a lot of things that made the people’s lives more convenient such as online shopping and having the items delivered right at the doorsteps.
Undeniably, some analysts are thinking about the possible future of Amazon without Bezos as the CEO. There is a tight competition of companies now.
