Cebu Pacific Travel Insurance Upgraded amid COVID Threat
CEBU PACIFIC TRAVEL INSURANCE – Cebu Pacific Air has upgraded its insurance to include COVID-19 hospitalizations amid the pandemic.
The Philippines if fighting the COVID-19 pandemic for more than two (2) years now. The situation is still not back to the pre-pandemic type of normal but several fields are slowly returning to operation. The said pandemic has affected almost everything.
Many businesses closed amid the pandemic. Some temporarily stopped their operation while strict restrictions are still up while others had no choice but to permanently shut down after incurring only expenses for several months with no income.
The field of tourism is one of those greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Airlines incurred huge losses amid the challenging situation. There were months when the number of passengers greatly dropped due to tight borders.
Currently, airlines are making the moves to get back up from the drop caused by the pandemic. They are also trying their best to make traveling safer, more convenient, and fewer worries for the passengers.
For Cebu Pacific Air, it expanded the coverage of the Cebu Pacific travel insurance Travelsure “Basic Protect”. It now includes COVID hospitalizations. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the COVID-hospitalization and treatment coverage is on top of the up to P2.5 million medical expenses benefit in case of injury or other illnesses and personal accident insurance of up to P2.5 million during the trip.
Based on the report, the passengers can avail of the said Cebu Pacific Travel Insurance for as low as P492.00 round-trip. It can be availed during flight booking or it can also be an additional two (2) hours prior to the flight. Insurance-covered passengers with moderate to severe symptoms can claim millions in hospitalization.
Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience Candice Iyog said that they want to provide their passengers with this insurance product that can make them “fly easy and safe”. The said insurance product is underwritten by the Insurance Company of North America.
