DA To Release Fertilizer Subsidy for Farmers via Vouchers

FERTILIZER SUBSIDY – The Department of Agriculture (DA) allotted P4 billion worth of fertilizer subsidies through vouchers for farmers.

The oil price hike has greatly affected a lot of people and many can hardly cope with the situation considering that the pandemic also brought a lot of financial struggles prior to the series of increases in oil prices. A lot of households’ budget no longer fits the current demand.

According to several public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers, they can hardly bring home an amount that could provide for the needs in their households due to the high prices of fuel. To aid the PUV drivers in these challenging times, the national government released fuel subsidies for them.

The PH government refused the call for the suspension of the oil excise tax. According to one of the presidential advisers, the suspension will result in billions of losses of government revenues.

Based on the report, the fuel subsidy for farmers will be released through vouchers. It is apart from the discount vouchers which are currently on the distribution process for farmers and fisherfolks. More updates may be posted soon.
