Lorna, an OFW who is a domestic helper, shared all the cruelties she had been through in working abroad and all the hardships she has to bear in order to earn money for her family back here in the Philippines.
She is not just the sole Pinay overseas worker who is experiencing maltreatments from foreign employers in a foreign land.

She said that her main purpose of seeking a greener pasture abroad is because as a single mother, she needs to provide for her child as well as to help her parents to send her siblings to school.
One of the sacrifices that Lorna had to do in being a domestic helper is the lack of sleep and not getting enough food.
She said that it is fortunate on her part to sleep at least four hours a day.
Also included in the big challenge is being exhausted because of over work and she has already obtained cuts and bruises due to it.
What was stated on Lorna’s contract was not followed. She was not paid the amount stated to be her salary and the supposed day off was not provided to her.
Lorna had to be strong to face all the hardships and she is determine to bear them all just to have a little money to send to her family for the lot they purchased in installment.
The Pinay OFW works very hard in order for their house to be built.
She also shared that she experienced discrimination from her employers and she has to observe rules that are unfair on her part.
