A lot of transactions in the country require the presentation of valid IDs for eligibility. These processes include loan applications, availing a benefit offer of a government agency, buying a house or car, booking a flight ticket, etc.

A valid ID is an identification document that proves the identity of a person. In the Philippines, there are IDs that are considered “primary” while there are also those that are considered “secondary”. Most of the primary IDs are issued by the government.

Often times, loan applications and other processes require the presentation of either one (1) valid ID or two (2) primary IDs. An ID is considered valid as it stays within its validity period. Meanwhile, there are also those IDs that do not require renewal or have no expiration like the PhilSys.
