GSIS PENSION – Here is a guide on how to re-validate suspended pension under the Government Service Insurance System.
Most people who are working in the government or public sector are members of the Government Service Insurance System. It is more commonly called as the GSIS.
Monthly, the members remit savings to GSIS. An updated account may entitle a member to the benefits and loans offered by the social insurance institution.
Every benefit and loan under the GSIS got eligibility qualifications. Usually, there is a required number of monthly remittance.
The benefit that most members really look forward to is the retirement benefit. A retired member may choose between a lump sum or a pension that will be given monthly.

Once in a while, pensioners have to revalidate their information to keep their GSIS Pension active. Otherwise, the social insurance institution may suspend it. The revalidation can be done online and here are the steps to follow:
Step 1 – Prepare the UMID photo of the pensioner or two (2) valid IDs.
Step 2 – Take a picture of the pensioner holding a newspaper or a magazine showing the present date. The photo must be chest level. It can also be taken while the pensioner sits beside the television that shows the current date.
Step 3 – Photo of the letter of the pensioner requesting for the activation of his or her suspended pension. It must contain the full name of the pensioner, the complete address, the landline or cellphone number, and the signature.
Step 4 – Email the documents to the GSIS email address assigned on your area.
