GSIS Advisory on Upcoming System Downtime for Upgrade
GSIS – The Government Service Insurance System released an advisory on the upcoming downtime of its system on December 11-13, 2020.
In the Philippines, one of the biggest social insurance institutions is the Government Service Insurance System. It is more commonly called as GSIS and a lot of people are members of this institution.
Most of the members are people who are working in the government and public agencies. Meanwhile, there are also some who are no longer in government service but continue to update their membership with the social insurance institution.
Every month, members of the social insurance institution remit a certain part of their salary as monthly savings. Accumulated savings can qualify a member to the different GSIS loans and benefits.
Considering that it has a lot of members to cater services to daily, the Government Service Insurance System put up systems that can enable its members to avail their services even without queuing in an office or even visiting a branch.
The social insurance institution put up the GSISMO, GSIS Touch (The GSIS mobile app) , GWAPS Kiosks (GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System), and WEBMSP (AAO Forms Uploading).
To improve their facilities, GSIS upgrades its systems from time to time. Recently, the government agency released an advisory on its upcoming system upgrade on December 11 to December 13, 2020.
According to the social insurance institution, the downtime will start from 8:00 p.m. of December 11 (Friday) until 9:00 p.m. of December 13 (Sunday). The following services will not be available:
- eGSISMO
- GSIS Touch (The GSIS mobile app)
- GWAPS Kiosks (GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System)
- WEBMSP (AAO Forms Uploading)
