  • have paid at least one (1) month contribution before the semester of the disability
  • have paid at least 36 monthly contributions prior to the semester of the disability for the Disability Pension;
  • a Disability Lump Sum is granted for a member who got disabled but with less than 36 monthly contributions

With regards to the SSS Disability Benefit amount, according to the state-run social insurance agency, the minimum disability pension is P1,000 per month if the member’s credited years of service is less than 10 years.

If the member has at least 10 years of credit service, he/she will get P1,200 monthly. If the member has at least 20 years of credited service, he/she will get P2,400 monthly.

Furthermore, aside from the monthly pension, the SSS member will get a monthly Supplemental Allowance of Php 500.00. The dependents of the will also get an equivalent of “10% of the basic monthly pension of the member or Php 250, whichever is lower”.
