SSS Unemployment Benefit Up for Displaced Worker-Members
SSS – The Social Security System is ready to aid its members who lost their jobs amid the Alert Level 3 in Metro Manila.
Following the holiday season and amid the threats of the Omicron variant, a new variant of COVID-19 that was reported to be “heavily mutated”, the cases of COVID-19 in several cities in Metro Manila are increasing again. It prompted the government to place the whole Metro Manila under Alert Level 3.
Stricter curbs are part of the implementation of Alert Level 3. Some local government units are reimposing curfew. The mayors also arrived at a mutual decision to put restrictions on the mobility of unvaxxed residents. Unfortunately, many people lost their job or their source of income under stricter measures in Metro Manila now.
