There are DOST scholarship qualifications that the student applicant must meet to be eligible to apply for the scholarship offers. Here are the eligibility criteria to be eligible to apply for the scholarship offers of the government entity:

  • natural-born Filipino citizen
  • graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2023-2024
    • STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
    • NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the class based on Grade 11 ranking
  • graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2023-2024 and did not enroll in college yet
    • STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
    • NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
  • graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class
  • of good moral character and in good health
  • has not earned any college units
  • do not have any post-high school vocational units
  • has not applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before, has applied for a DOST-SEI scholarship before but did not qualify for the scholarship, or has qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award

There are several DOST scholarship benefits for the scholars. In fact, the cash allowances provided for the undergraduate studies scholars under the DOST scholarships are known to be bigger compared with the other scholarship benefits.

Aside from the eligibility requirements, there are also documentary requirements for DOST Scholarship application. Make sure to submit the required documents before the application period is over. For 2024, the last day of application is set on December 31, 2023.
