DOST SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS – Here are the privileges for the scholars under the Junior Level Scholarships offer of the Department of Science and Techhnology.
Have you heard about the scholarship offers of the Department of Science and Technology? Actually, the government entity that is most popularly called DOST has many scholarship offers and its offers are known to be among those scholarships with the biggest allowances.
The DOST scholarship benefits are monetary but their amounts are undeniably far from what many other scholarships offer. The government entity has divided its scholarships between the S&T undergraduate scholarships and the Junior Level Science scholarships.
The Junior Level Science scholarships are intended for 3rd year college students who are taking Science and Technology courses. Thus, there is really a set of priority courses under the DOST scholarship offer.
With regards to the privileges for scholars, they include both allowances during the regular academic year and during summer classes. Here are the DOST scholarship benefits for the scholars during the regular academic year:
- Tuition and other school fees (for scholars enrolled in private HEIs) — ₱40,000.00 / year
- Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance — ₱10,000.00 / year
- Monthly Living Allowance — ₱7,000.00 / month
- Group Health and Accident Insurance — Premium
- Graduation Allowance — ₱1,000.00
- Transportation Allowance for scholars stuying outside the province — 1 economy-class roundtrip fare
- Thesis Allowance — ₱10,000.00
Here are the privileges that scholars may get if summer classes are part of the school curriculum:
- Tuition and other school fees — ₱10,000.00
- Monthly Living Allowance — ₱7,000.00 / month for two months
- Learning Materials and/or Connectivity Allowance — ₱2,000.00 (outright grant)
