DOST SCHOLARSHIP FOR ENGINEERING GRADUATE STUDIES – Here are the qualifications in applying for a scholarship under ERDT.

There are professions in the Philippines that come along with an educational journey that does not end in undergraduate studies. In these professions, you may push through with a Master’s degree after graduating from your undergraduate studies and, later on, a Doctoral degree after getting your Master’s.

DOST Scholarship for Engineering Graduate Studies

One of these professions is engineer which comes in different types. Graduates of engineering may push through with the Master’s and Doctoral degree programs but many are not financially-prepared for them.

The good thing is that there are entities including the Department of Science and Technology which have launched programs that provide scholarships for engineering graduate studies. It launched the Engineering Research and Development for Technology or the ERDT.

Who are qualified to apply for the scholarship offer? Here are the DOST Scholarship for Engineering Graduate Studies qualifications for application:

  • a Filipino citizen;
  • not be more than 50 years of age at the start of the program;
  • has passed the admission requirements of the graduate program supported by ERDT;
  • has a BS/MS degree in engineering or related field;
  • in good health condition;
  • not have criminal/administrative cases; and
  • passed the interview and other screening procedures.

The PhD graduate in a priority S&T program who want to push through a second PhD degree is allowed under the offer. MS/PhD non-scholar graduates who want to pursue a second MS/PhD degree may also apply.

Aside from the eligibility requirements, there are also documentary requirements for the DOST scholarship application for engineering graduate studies.

PhD graduates who want to pursue another MS degree program are not qualified under the offer. The same disqualification applies to MS graduate in a priority S&T program who want to pursue a second MS degree.
