Steps for SIM Card Register Process based on Type of Globe Account

SIM CARD REGISTER – Here is a complete guide on the registration process for Globe prepaid, postpaid, and WiFi SIMs.

The people in the Philippines who are using SIM cards are now mandated by law, the SIM Card Registration Act, to register. It is in the pursuit of the authorities to crack down incidents of scamming and spamming in the country.

The law that mandates the people to register their SIM card was the first measure signed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. into a law. After the signing, ample time was given to the telecommunication network providers in the country to come up with registration platforms. Also, the SIM card users were given enough time to register.

One of the most popular and considered as one of the giants in the field of telecommunication networks is Globe. Millions of Filipinos are users of Globe prepaid and postpaid SIMs as well as their internet connection services offers.

Under the new law in the Philippines, when you happen to buy a new Globe SIM card or register to its internet packages offers, you will have to register the SIM card. The processes for registration vary depending on the type of account you availed.

Prepaid SIM
  • Visit the SIM registration website.
  • Enter your 10-digit mobile number (ex. 9171234567) and click the “Register” button.
  • If eligible to register, you’ll receive a One Time Pin (OTP) text message on your mobile phone.
  • Enter the 6-digit OTP on the registration website. Note that the OTP expires in five minutes.
  • After your OTP is validated, proceed to the registration. 
  • Fill in the required fields: Name, Birthday, Gender, Address, and Nationality
  • Take a selfie and select the type of government ID to be uploaded. Tap the “attach” button to upload a copy of your valid ID.
  • Tick the checkbox to agree with Globe’s Privacy Notice and Attestation of Completeness and Accuracy.
  • Click “Submit” button to finish the registration process.
  • A reference number will appear on your screen to signify completion of registration. Please keep the reference number as proof of registration.
Postpaid SIM
  • You’ll receive a text message from Globe to confirm if your SIM registration details are correct. 
  • Text SIMREG to 8080 to confirm your details and registration.
  • Globe will send a message to your device inbox confirming successful registration.
Platinum
  • You’ll receive a text message from Globe to confirm your SIM registration details.
  • Text SIMREG to 8080 to confirm your details and registration.
  • Globe will send a message to your device inbox confirming successful registration.
LTE @ Home
  • Wait for the text message from Globe At Home asking for confirmation on your SIM registration details.
  • To confirm, text SIMREG <ACCOUNT NUMBER> <WIRELESS LANDLINE/SUPER HOME PHONE NUMBER> to 268204.
  • Globe will send a message to your device inbox confirming successful registration.
Globe at Home Prepaid WiFi

For New Customers, follow these steps:

  • Set up your modem as per instruction manual.
    • Connect the power adapter to the modem.
    • Turn your Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi device on.
  • Download the GlobeOne app and set up your Home Prepaid WiFi account.
  • Enroll your Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi mobile number and click “Register your SIM now.”
  • Fill out all required fields: Name, Birthday, Gender, Address, and Nationality.
  • Take a selfie and select the type of government ID to be uploaded. Click the “Attach” button to upload a copy of your valid government ID.
  • Tick the checkbox to agree with Globe’s Privacy Notice and Attestation of Completeness and Accuracy.
  • Click the “Submit” button to finish the registration process.
  • If eligible to register, a One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you through a text message.
  • Enter the 6-digit OTP on the registration website. Note that the OTP expires in five minutes.

  • Globe will send a message to your device inbox confirming successful registration.

For Existing Customers, follow these steps:

  • Put your modem in a location with a strong signal.
  • Connect to your Home Prepaid WiFi using your mobile device.
  • Download the GlobeOne app and set up your Home Prepaid WiFi account.
  • Enroll your Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi using the number found in your modem.
  • Click “Register your SIM now” and enter your Home Prepaid WiFi number.
  • Fill out all required fields: Name, Birthday, Gender, Address, and Nationality.
  • Take a selfie and select the type of government ID to be uploaded. Click the “Attach” button to upload a copy of your valid government ID. Note that the images should not exceed 4 MB. Adjust your camera settings or take a screenshot if needed. 
  • Tick the checkbox to agree with Globe’s Privacy Notice and Attestation of Completeness and Accuracy.
  • Click “Submit” to finish the registration process.
  • If eligible to register, a One Time Pin (OTP) will be sent to you through a text message.
  • Enter the 6-digit OTP on the registration website. Note that the OTP expires in five minutes.
  • After your OTP is validated, a reference number will appear on your screen. Take note of your reference number.
  • Globe will send a message to your device inbox confirming successful registration.

MYFI

For New Customers, follow these steps:

  • Purchase a Globe Mobile WiFi from authorized sellers.
  • Set up the MyFi as per instruction manual.
  • Connect your mobile phone to your MyFi device.
  • Access the device inbox as per user instruction manual.
  • Open a new browser window or tab. Type http://192.168.8.1/ on the browser to access the MyFi dashboard.
  • Log-in using the username and password found in the user manual.
  • Click “SMS” to view your messages.
  • In the device inbox, receive a welcome message with the registration link to the SIM registration website.
  • Visit the link with an active internet connection to start registration.
  • Enter your MyFi number and click “Register” button.
  • You’ll receive a One Time Pin (OTP) text message in your device inbox. Make sure you’re connected to your MyFi device.
  • Enter the 6-digit OTP on the registration website. Note that the OTP expires in five minutes.
  • After your OTP is validated, you may now proceed with the registration. 
  • Enter all required fields: Name, Birthday, Gender, Address, and Nationality.
  • Take a selfie and select the type of government ID to be uploaded. Click the “attach” button to upload a copy of your valid government ID.

  • Connect your mobile phone to your MyFi device.
  • Access the device inbox as per user instruction manual.
  • Open a new browser window or tab. Type http://192.168.8.1/ on the browser to access the MyFi dashboard.
  • Click “Login” using the username and password found at the back of your MyFi device.
  • Click “Login” button
  • Click “Device” on the left side to view your messages.
  • Inbox should have enough space to receive the messages.
  • In the device inbox, receive a message with the registration link to the SIM registration website.
  • Visit the link to start registration.
  • Enter your MyFi number and click the “Register” button.
  • You’ll receive a One Time Pin (OTP) text message in your device inbox. Make sure you’re connected to your MyFi device.
  • Enter the 6-digit OTP on the registration website. Note that the OTP expires in five minutes.
  • After your OTP is validated, you may now proceed with the registration. 
  • Enter all required fields: Name, Birthday, Gender, Address, and Nationality.
