Guide on 3 Ways Employers May Apply for SSS Business Wage Subsidy Amid COVID-19 Crisis
SSS BUSINESS WAGE SUBSIDY – Here are the three (3) ways to apply for the Small Business Wage Subsidy offer of the Social Security System.
A lot of people were affected by the COVID-19 crisis in the Philippines. Not only those who are working on a no-work-no-pay basis but as well as self-employed individuals with small businesses.
Amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the entire Luzon and in several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao, many businesses temporarily suspended work. Not all businesses can operate on a work-from-home scheme.
Also, businesses adhered to temporary closure for non-essential ones. Only essential businesses like pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants, banks, and water stations were allowed to operate under a skeletal system.
Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the national government lodged the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) to help the Filipino families. Cash aid were extended to chosen recipients whose situation were assessed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
People may also turn to other government agencies that offer loans like the Social Security System. Members of the said social insurance institution may apply for SSS Calamity Loan.
Aside from the calamity loan offer, there is also the SSS Business Wage Subsidy for the small businesses. There are several ways on how employers may apply for it.

For SAP to be given to those family who are affected with the COVID 19 pandemic is not fair enough. According to Sen. Allan Peter Cayetano every household are included to be assisted by the DSWD but then it was not like that. They choose who they want who are close to barangay officials. They based their assessment what kind of house you have, children who have work but yet affected by the pandemic with no work no pay. They are giving those financial aid to those who doesnt have work at all and got a money without any hardship to do the work or find a work to support their own family. It is not fair to those family or individual who have work but then lost their job and income because of the pandemic because of the situation and yet they are not qualified for that financial support? Why not prioritized those family who worked hard for their family and not those who doesnt work?
For some employees and employer who keep on applying for CAMP and Subsidy but both are rejected. How come? They keep on rejecting the application and said that they are not qualified withut giving any reason. The program of the Government to help is such a big help, but then not fair at all.
