Update on Gasoline, Diesel Prices amid Continuous Hike

GASOLINE AND DIESEL PRICES – The pump prices of gasoline and diesel and as well as kerosene will reportedly have another increase this week.

With the advancement in technology that led to massive production of cars and other vehicles, among the important things in the people’s life now are petroleum products. In fact, it takes a slice in the monthly of many households across the globe.

In the Philippines, more and more families are acquiring cars for the purpose of convenience and as well as safety – most especially now amid the COVID-19 pandemic that exposure to the public is advised to be limited. In Metro Manila, cities implement coding to ease the growing traffic on the road.

The growing numbers of cars and other vehicles like motorcycles also increased the demand for petroleum products. These include gasoline and diesel.

Amid the COVID-19 crisis now, petroleum products’ pump prices continue to increase. Based on a report on GMA News, gasoline and diesel prices increase for the 4th and 9th time, respectively.

According to the report, the following fuel stations are set to implement the increase on the gasoline and diesel prices which are P0.50 per liter for the gasoline and P0.40 for the diesel:

  • Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex)
  • Flying V, Petron Corp.
  • Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp.
  • Seaoil Philippines Inc.
  • Cleanfuel
  • Petro Gazz
  • Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc.
  • PTT Philippines Corp.
  • Total Philippines Corp.

The kerosene will also increase in pump price by P0.30 per liter. It is the 3rd increase of the said petroleum product. The kerosene, gasoline, and diesel price increase will take effect starting today, June 15, 2021, at 6:00 a.m. in most fuel stations except Caltex and Cleafuel.

Cleanfuel is set to implement the new prices at 4:01 p.m. while Caltex started implementing it at 12:01 a.m. today.
