Application for SSS Small Business Wage Subsidy Now Closed
SSS – The Social Security System stopped accepting applications for the Small Business Wage Subsidy.
A lot of people are currently going through financial struggles. Many Filipinos lost their monthly income as most parts of the country are under community quarantine measures.
Previously, the entire Luzon and most provinces in Mindanao and Visayas were under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to COVID-19. Most non-essential businesses temporarily stopped their operations.
Many employees are working under a no-work-no-pay scheme. Thus, it’s a struggle to cope with the monthly expenses amid the COVID-19 crisis.
One of the government agencies that were quick to respond to the problems and offer assistance is the Social Security System. A huge part of the Filipino populace is a member of this social insurance institution.
One of the offers of the SSS as a response to the COVID-19 crisis is the Small Business Wage Subsidy Program. Employers of small businesses may apply for it to assist their employees in their financial needs in this time of crisis.
Previously, the social insurance institution suspended its other online services to give way for the application for the Small Business Wage Subsidy. There were three (3) ways that employers may apply for it.
Recently, the SSS announced that the application for the Small Business Wage Subsidy is now closed. Meanwhile, employers who wish to edit the bank account details or cellphone numbers of their employees may do so through their My.SSS accounts.

next tanung ko po kung nakatangap po ba ng SBWS pero na qualified din ako sa DSWD hindi ko na po ba kailangan kunin or kunin ko ang DSWD kc qualified po ako NO WORK NO PAY po ako at nag rent ng bahay
