DSWD 4PS CASH ASSISTANCE – Here is a guide on how much the family beneficiaries of 4Ps receive every month.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has several programs and one of these is the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or more commonly called 4Ps. It is an anti-poverty program that benefits millions of Filipinos who are part of the poorest of the poor in the country.

There are different DSWD 4Ps cash assistance provided by the government agency under the program. The benefits that the family beneficiaries may vary depending on certain factors such as the number of students schooling in the family, the presence of a pregnant member of the family, the age of the kids in the family, etc.

Education Grant. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) extends education granto to 4Ps family beneficiaries who have student members. The students must be enrolled in a pre-school, elementary school, or secondary school and attend at least 85% of the classes in a year based on the school calendar. Every family may receive the education grant for up to three (3) student beneficiaries and ten (10) months of assistance per year. The following are the DSWD 4Ps cash assistance rates under the education grant:

  • Php 300.00 per child in pre-school or day care
  • Php 300.00 per child in elementary
  • Php 500.00 per child in junior high school
  • Php 700.00 per child in senior high school

Health Grant. Aside from the education grant, there is also a health grant under the 4Ps. Based on an article on OWWA Member, members of the 4Ps family beneficiaries who are pregnant will receive assistance on pre-natal and post-natal care. Children between 0-5 years old will also receive an aid.

The other benefits under the program apart from the DSWD 4Ps cash assistance mentioned above include the rice subsidy of Php 600.00 per month, an automatic coverage to the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), and priority in the availment of DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) modalities and interventions.
