- Step 1 — Make sure you have posted at least one (1) monthly contribution in your account.
- Step 2 — Gather all the documents needed in filing a claim. It is important to go to the Social Security System office with complete requirements already to save money, time, and energy from going back and forth.
- Step 3 — Go to the main office or branch of the SSS nearest to you and submit your documents for the filing of SSS Disability Benefit claim.
- Step 4 — A medical specialist or the physician assigned at the office will conduct a physical examination and explain the SSS Disability Benefit details to you. He/She will also inform you if theere are additional documents that must be submitted.
- Step 5 — The processing of your claim application may take one (1) to two (2) months. Once approved, you will receive an update from the SSS stating the amount and when you can withdraw the money.
