Who Are Qualified for the SSS Sickness Cash Benefit?
The Social Security System members who cannot report to work for at least four (4) days may obtain some cash through the SSS Sickness Benefit.
Millions of Filipinos are working in the private sector in the Philippines. Most of these companies require a membership to the Social Security System or more popularly called SSS. It is one of the social insurance giants in the country.

- have paid at least three (3) months of contributions within the 12-month period prior to the semester of sickness or injury
- have duly notified the SSS directly about the sickness or injury or through his/her employer
- have used up all company sick leaves
