However, one of the giants will soon stop its camera body production in one of its plant.\

Based on an article in ABS-CBN News, Nikon will stop the production of its camera body in Japan by the end of 2021. It is due to the effect of the advancement in the photo functions of mobile phones now.

According to the report, Nikon will transfer its production of camera body from its plant in Miyagi Prefecture to its major factory in Thailand. The company assured that the quality of their products can be maintained even if the manufacturing is done overseas.

It was in 1948 when the company launched its first camera. However, there are big challenges when it comes to competing businesses and it has recorded up to 34.4 billion group net loss.
