Advisory on SSS Small Business Wage Subsidy Applications

SSS – The Social Security System issued a new advisory over the applications for the Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS).

The Philippines is now dealing with a national crisis brought by coronavirus or COVID-19. This pandemic has affected almost everything in more than 200 countries across the globe.

In PH which there are over 12,000 cases of coronavirus recorded, community quarantines are currently implemented. It’s been several weeks now since the said measures are up in most provinces in the country.

Many non-essential businesses temporarily stopped their operation since the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the entire Luzon and in most provinces in Visayas and Mindanao.

SSS Small Business Wage Subsidy

Amid the crisis, several government agencies offered help to their members. One of them is the Social Security System.

More commonly called as SSS, the said social insurance institution offered the Small Business Wage Subsidy for employers who cannot fully assist their employees amid the COVID-19 crisis.

The application for the said subsidy offer is now closed. Recently, the SSS released a new advisory regarding the Small Business Wage Subsidy applications.

The social insurance institution stated that qualified employers who applied for it will receive an email and they must comply with it on or before the deadline. Also, the corrections must be applied and submitted.

According to the Social Security System, the following must be observed in the applications for the Small Business Wage Subsidy:

  • bank account numbers should be written as a continuous string of numbers
  • mobile numbers should be written as: 09171234567 or 09181234567
  • bank account and mobile numbers should not be shared between two people

The social insurance institution stated that partial submissions are not allowed. When you click submit, you will be given a transaction number and you cannot anymore make editing on the information.

  1. Bkit ganyan hndi nyo kami natulungan mga taga dulcinea kumpleto nmn pinasa namin na requirement Hindi na nga Po kami pinansin ng dole pati b nmn kayo all most 2mnths Napo lock down ni singko Wala pa kami tulong natatangap

    ask ko lang qualify nman po ako nkasama po ako sbws. sa pag submit ng employer.nagtataka po wla pa rin ako natanggap na txt o wla lang pumasok sa account ko na pera galing sss..anu po kaya nangyari ayun sa employer ko for disbursement na po ang status.bakit ako lang po ang hindi nkatanggap..salamat po

  4. Good day ma’am/sir , i just wanna ask if in qualified of this SBWS ? Im filling a vacation leave last March 13,2020 before the government imposing a lockdown in Metro Manila . Im a Manila based employee , i decided to go home in Mindanao before lockdown . Thanks

    Ask ko lang po sana yung tungkol sa nangyari sakin, nagkamali po ako yung naibigay ko po na bank account po sa sss closed na po pala huli na po kz nung nalaman ko na naclosed na yung account ko. Panu po kaya yun? Maraming salamat po.
